Our Stout is a dark, black ale with a complex roasted coffee-chocolate character. It is a perfectly balanced marriage of malt sweetness and hops, a light body with a gorgeous head. The hops used provide a traditional mellow bitterness in a supporting role. The finish is smooth and dry. Our stout beer is brewed in the traditional ‘dry stout style’ and is very approachable.

Pours black, with a light, thin head. Nose is roasted, ashy malts. Taste is a nice roasted malt, dark chocolate. Light, crisp body. Appropriate for the style. Good beer.

Lacks sufficient roasted barley character, and has a shallow flavour profile which lacks intricacy or nuance. Has a coffee/chocolate one-two punch, but both notes are inexpressive. Errs on the bitter side of the bitter/sweet spectrum, though its balance is appropriate for the style. There's a subisidary hint of starchiness (possibly even oats?)
It's aptly dry, though overcarbonated. Medium-bodied, with a presence on the palate.
It's a nice little stab at an Irish Dry Stout, but I wouldn't get it again. There's no harmony of texture to taste and it isn't gestalt.

fresh at the brewery. Didn't get the bitterness in the roast that others got which made the brew that much better

Pours a very dark brown with khaki colored head. Thin viscosity, pours very smoothly. Lots of roasted malts on the nose, not a whole lot else; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more roast and very dry and short.

Appearance: Obsidian body crowned by a moderate, quite sense tan head, which retains well. Scattered, patchy lacing adorns the glass walls.
Aroma: Deep notes of roasted and charred barley dominate, with cold coffee, bitter cocoa, and a moderate herbal hop presence.
Taste: Opens with a strong punch of roasted barley. Soon after, strong cold black coffee asserts. Later in the taste, there is a flourish of bitter cocoa. Finishes with a lingering note of cold coffee and a quite lesser wave of herbal hops.
Mouth feel: Smooth, soft and full, with a little zesty carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: A very well-crafted example, quite pleasing. The low ABV (4.0%) makes this a suitable session beer.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce brown glass long neck bottle, served in a Samuel Adams Boston Lager Sensory glass.
Technical: From the label: Alc/Vol 4.0% IBU 36, SRM 86.
