Appearance: Pours a clearish, darkened, dimmed gold body with a slim, near-white layer of suds.
Smell: Minutely bready with some sugary hints hooked to a hop character akin to nefarious lawn weeds with a touch of butterscotch.
Taste: An ultra quick hint of sugary butterscotch shoots to a strong, odious bitterness. No real, appreciable hop character, just an unyielding harshness with a rather noxious weed component and surprising hotness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Quite the mess. Couldn't even come close to finishing it.

Had some brought back by a co-worker who visited Iceland.
Pours dark butterscotch color with a robust big-bubbled head that settles in puffy clouds after a while.
Aroma is a little sweet with caramel malt and a bit peppery on the nose.
The caramel malt comes out in front, filling out the body. a little floral citrus is on the tongue as well and the finish is a little peppery
Feel is a little soft but light with a touch of burn in the finish. a little bitter too.
As a 4.5 I am surprised by the burn - I don't *think* it is bitterness but that's just weird. Also it pours like a full ale in color and head, so they did some great magic here. Very pleasant - had a few of their varieties and all were good if not a tad different than what I'm used to.

On tap at Micro Bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. Served in a tumbler glass.
Pours a clear lighter golden-copper body, one finger white head, short retention time, not much lacing. Smells of citrus, bread, a bit of floral, touch of earth, cereal grain, overall balanced between the malt and hops. It's not pungently citrusy, but it is noticeable. Flavour is a bit more malt-favoured, mild-moderate cereal grain presence with a bit of caramel, balanced out somewhat by the citrus and grassy hops. Mild grassy and earthy bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit more bitter than expected but still quite easy to down. Overall, a more than decent pale ale that is balanced, perhaps more in the English tradition.
