500ml on tap at Micro Bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. Served in the appopriate imperial pint glassware.
Pours a medium copper-yellow body, one finger white head, bits of retention, lots of lacing. Standard pale ale fare. Smells of spicy fruit- perhaps durian fruit or star fruit, I am not sure- a bit of sulfur, minerals, cereal grain. Flavour is similarly heavy on the spicy tropical fruit, as said before. A bit of mineral, plenty of cereal grain, mild resinous bitterness. It is on the more bitter side than expected, but still quite drinkable and not as sweet as some India Pale Ales can be- making for a good Pale Ale. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, good carbonation, moderate bitterness without too much sweetness. Overall, an above average pale ale with a nice complement of NZ hops.
