Extremely dirty brown ale, topped with a lovely, firm dark tan head. Great retention.
Caramel and pale grain aroma, with a touch of toffee and rounded off with light floral and citrus aromas.
Very nice chocolate undertone to an otherwise grainy malt body. Strong pine and citrus hop finish readies the palate for another sip.
Fairly dry and bitter brew; light bodied overall; easy to drink.

really nice take on a classic brown ale, a little more going on here than in many of these. the pour is incredible, shiny dark brown, clear and impossibly heady, tan cream rising well above the surface of the glass and holding on for a long time. the aroma here is great too, a hint of smoke in with the darker toast and more depth than we usually get in these. there is a curious yeast too that has obviously dried this out a lot, but also adds a neat mild spice flavor to it, english still, but only sort of. lots of flavor from the malt on this, wet soil and minerals, deeper roast, unbrewed coffee beans, chocolate malt, bitterness, and again a little bit of complimentary smoke. medium bodied but made to feel much lighter by some serious champagne carbonation that goes on and on, not a feeling i am used to in a european brown ale, but it is very sexy in this beer. this is somewhat more interesting and refined than i remember their pale ale being, a very cool brown. not enough craft beer from spain making it over here right now. these guys are cool, and this beer is great!

330ml bottle. Nonic glass. Reddish brown color, ruby tints to the light & clear appearance. Off-white foam creates a thin but lasting crown. Toasted & caramel malt, ripe plum aromas & fudge chocolate on the backside. Toasted, malty & crispy upfront. Light to medium body. Moderate but lively carbonation. Watery mouthfeel. Herbal- tea-like- bitterness, subtle coffee infusion & licorice candy linger into a sweet/bitter finish. Flavorful sediments display woody hues both in aroma & flavor. Worth to try!!
