From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles (2.5€) In Duvel glass. After dinner. 25 days after bb date. Not as good as the maier triple dorada but good. More watery and weak and a nastier bitterness. To repeat fresher

Pours a hazy amber with enormous head of about 3 fingers (plus what was lost overboard) that won't go away! Aroma is grapefruity, with piney notes and really everything you would expect of a pale ale so far. Taste is on point, big, almost DIPA like, it is DIPA material, this is on the money. A really citrus, piney, brew that could give the west coast ipa's a run. Mouthfeel is full bodied and the hops are on your palate for a week! Reminds me of SN torpedo and that is high praise. Again the Spanish craft scene is young, this beer is mislabeled, I definitely wouldn't call it an English pale...
Edit: picked up another sixer a week later and both beers were about the same age and the quality was way down. Aroma was lacking and bright hoppiness was resigned to a bland, lingering, bitter bite.

i havent had much spanish craft beer, if any really, so this is a real treat for me, and somewhat of a novelty given that not much of it makes it over to the united states. i dont know anything about the brewery, but the place and beers were added very recently, suggesting they are new. this is an orange colored pale ale with a great head that gushes right out of the bottle, and a fantastic yeast profile to it that is more like champagne yeast than normal ale yeast, very dry and bubbly with a little fruity ester thing going on. supposedly an american pale ale type, i dont think its hoppy enough for that, but its not lacking hops either. its a balanced brew with a slightly sweet aromatic bread malt on the front end, a little bigger than some, and only balancing hops, which have a brightness to them i cant quite place. not sure the varietal. the real interesting part of this brew is the yeast, which is really alive. its got an almost wine-like flavor to it, that works well with the hops, and just a hint of funk short of saison type yeasts. extremely well carbonated and refreshing brew, a major session brew too at under 5% abv. spanish craft beer seems to be on the rise, and i appreciate the uniqueness of this anything but basic pale ale.

330ml bottle. Nonic glass. Brass color, clear appearance. White crown shows fairly good retention. Yeast, mild toasted malt, biscuit aromas rounded by citric –orange & grapefruit notes. Citric & crisp upfront. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. Toasted & malty flavors touched by nice sharp bitterness provide an interesting bitter/sweet finish. Easy drinkability.
