Brewer lists this as an Imperial Pale Ale.
Firm, creamy head with good retention. Dark orange, nearly brown body. Slightly hazy. Looks thick.
Aroma is quite grainy: caramel, barley, and wheat, tinged with grass, pine, and orange pith and peel.
Flavor more or less follows: it's sweet and thickly malty, with biscuit, chewy white bread, and caramel; mandarin orange and lemon drops spice up the flavor, with a touch of sugary spicy yeast and mint leaf; brown sugar lingers.
Big in the mouth, you can gulp this brew - at your own risk. It clocks in at 8%. It's definitely American-inspired, and it's a quite enjoyable beer.
