330ml bottle - now called 'The Other Side of the Blonde Trans Atlantic Hop Bomb'. Maybe we should just keep it how it is here, simple.
This beer pours a hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with four fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat fizzy off-white head, which leaves some random chunky splattered lace around the glass as it very lazily retreats.
It smells of gritty and grainy pale malt, some blood orange, red grapefruit, and lemon citrus peel, an estery yeastiness, and more leafy, musty, and grassy green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and crackery cereal malt, muddled domestic citrus rind, a bit of nutty yeast, and some earthy, leafy, and dead grassy hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite restrained in its palate-pleasing frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and generally smooth, as the hops keep their busy little hands to themselves at this particular juncture. It finishes trending dry, those acrid citrusy essences exhibiting some lingering esprit de corps.
Overall - I'm well-document in my disdain for most blonde ales, due to their typical banality. Boy howdy, that does not apply to this offering, as it is rather flavourful, without being too bitter. I initially chuckled at the mention of 'hop bomb' on the label, but they sure showed me.

330ml bottle. 1/2 pt glass. Bright gold color, clear appearance. White, close & lasting crown. Aroma profile displays slight citric, yeasty, floral & subtle malty notes, lemon zest & so soft biscuit on the backside. Balanced hops & malts at first sip. Light body. Moderate carbonation. Oily to watery texture. Gentle & clean citric bitterness arises in the middle -despite of malts stay on line- & linger into a bitter finish. Dried aftertaste & resinous bitter flavor through the throat. Refreshing.
