330ml bottle - now called 'Mumbai Indian Pale Ale (The Kabaddi of Beers)', which suggests that this is more of an EIPA, but the hop schedule remains the same, so who the hell knows.

This beer pours a slightly hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy off-white head, which leaves some random splotchy lace around the glass as it rather slowly abates.

It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, orange and lemon citrus rind, a bit of earthy spiciness, and some plain leafy, herbal, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy cereal malt, some mixed domestic citrus flesh, a damp minerality, and more understated leafy, weedy, and piney verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly sedate in its wan-seeming frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and generally smooth, with a wee airy creaminess evolving as things warm up a tad at this particular juncture. It finishes off-dry, the malt pretty much running the lingering show.

Overall - yeah, this certainly comes across much more like an English version of the style, even if the hops are American in origin. Once that's taken into consideration, this is a pretty standard rendering, and easy enough to put back, while I finally go look up what the hell 'kabaddi' is.

330ml bottle. Wine glass. Orangish amber color, cloudy appearance. White froth, thin layered head. Hints of biscuit & moderate toasted aromas, slight earthy & grassy notes, subtle orange on the back rounded by some cinnamon & cumin hues. Sweet malt at first sip rounded by citric underneath. Light body. Moderate carbonation. Dense texture. Candy hues arise into a dry citric bitter finish. Gentle aftertaste shows fruity, slight resinous & green wood notes. Refreshing & easy drinkable. Hoppy tendency but solid malty bed. Good job!
