The first brew from Kristianstad Bryggeri.
I notice a fine fizzing sound when I open the bottle, some of the foam rises from the bottle after a short while. The liquid is orange - amber (25 EBC) and clear, the two-finger high dense foam is warm white. It sinks down and leaves little lacing on the glass. Some yeast on the bottom of the bottle. .
The smell is fresh with a slightly floral bitterness. A lot of yeast with fruity and lightly soapy notes. I find the notions of caramelized sugar and cream candy.
The taste is also fresh, there are more of fresh hops and bitterness than in many of the traditional Belgian beers in the style. Belgian yeast flavours, fruit toffee and a hint of old fashioned soap. Fruit Candy in the background. Medium body. The aftertaste has a light and pure alcohol note, some pine needles and wood / fresh cut branches. The finish got some flour, salt and dry crunchy tones.
Carbonation is sharp and refreshing, the large bubbles are short lived. The liquid is somewhat light with some stickiness afterwards.
A pleasant blonde, it 's very fresh and easy to drink. A good start!
