We started with a rich Baltic porter and aged them in Whisky barrels from a local destillery to give the beer a rich, oaky character with a touch of whisky together with the roasted flavor of the porter. Store dark and cool and serve at 12-14 degrees C on it’s own, with dark meats or together with friends.

Copenhagen 20/11 2021. 33 cl bottle from Systembolaget, Emporia, Hyllie. Purple label with mountains cape and some wisps of smoke.
Pors opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. a bit bubbly. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, earthy, slightly spicy odor mingling with a potent boozy scent. Sweet dark fruits soaked in alcohol. Dark roasted malts. Toffee and brown sugar. Tobacco and moist soil.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, creamy, slightly viscous texture. Lightly tingling.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with bitter undertone. A boozy streak. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and rich.
Potent and rich take on a Baltic Porter with enough booze t make it interesting.
