The beer pours a thin, deep black color with a very fizzy, tan head that leaves decent lacing.
The smell is all red wine, raspberry, and chocolate.
The taste follows with lots of red wine and a smaller amount of chocolate. There is a ton of grape on the finish.
The mouthfeel is highly carbonated, especially for a BA beer, and fairly thin.
Overall I had high expectations for this beer, but it fell short. The red wine comes through nicely although the chocolate is a bit weak. Even though it's not an imperial stout, I expected a thicker mouthfeel.

Cork is all dried out, ugh...
Pours an effervescent ebony with with 3 fingers of mocha colored head. Great lacing, viscous & average head retention
S: Red wine & carob
T: Follows the nose, dryness, red grape as well up front. Cocoa & red grape, plus woody hops & dryness as this warms with some coffee notes as well. Finishes figgy, with carob & oaky dryness & red grape
MF: Medium body, firm carbonation, body thins out once warm
Not bad, but nothing to get excited about, kind of a miss when you factor in price
