Pours a very dark red brown with a foamy white head, The smell is malty, but light. The taste is malty, but more hoppy than other Scotch Ales. The m/f is light with the flavors not mixing too well. The bitter aftertaste doesn't go with the sweet malt first sip. This is an OK beer, but I was a little disappointed.

A: Hazy copper color with a hue of red. No head at all, which equaled no lace.
S: Aromas of a slight sweet hoppyness with a nice malt background.
T: I was left wanting more from this offering. Plain taste with a distinct maltiness, but it lacked something. Not as full bodied as the color led to believe it was going to be.
M & D: Mouthfeel and drinkability were ok---very smooth and easy to drink, but I'd order their stout first.
