Dark black ...small tan head.
Smells of roasted malt mostly.
Tastes really good , especially on warming. Roast malt, a little coffee, just the right hint of sweetness and a slightly bitter finish.
Just suggestion of chalk at the end. Creamy mouthfeel...medium carbonation....very drinkable.

On tap Super Bowl Sunday 2/4/07. Served in a 16oz. glass.
A: Pours a jet black color with a one finger cream colored head. Nice retention and excellent lacing.
S: Roasted malt with a slight caramel and coffee presence. Leafy notes also come through.
T/M: Roasted malt and black malt flavors. Slight sweet caramel malt comes through also. Coffee notes toward the finish. Good bitterness in the aftertaste, probably from the coffee notes, but also from the hop profile. Smooth and utterly creamy on the palate.
D: Easy drinking porter. Very tasty and smooth. A nice one to grab if you can.
