these guys might be the only brewery in the world right now with multiple kumquat beers on tap, this one in addition to a kumquat sour, pretty neat, maybe someone bought too much fruit. in any event, this is pretty great, very pale, minimal on the malt side, dry too, fairly clear and sunny looking with well over an inch of pure white head, looks great in the glass. the nose is cool because the kumquats are real identifiable, like tangy tangerine to me, but they are also super compatible with the hops, pineapple and spruce there, even a light gin note, not overdone, not green at all, but with some bitterness when i taste it, i feel like the pithy kumquat contributes a bit to that as well. juicy in a cool way, unique in how dry it is and how straight forward the grain is, just maybe pils malt, keeps it light even though its got some flavor, a european flare to it. the fruit is so clean and natural and carries with it absolutely no sweetness, i love it with these hops, whatever they are. the dryness is amazing, the carbonation too, and the fast finish which usually doesnt accompany beers like this. summery but cool in winter too, just a very unique beer overall. i walked away real impressed with this, clever and innovative and one i could have stayed and pounded a bunch of!

A unique and fun IPA I must admit. Smells like a Squirt soda but it drinks a smooth and light citrus IPA with very little bitterness on the back end. Ends a pleasant sweetness that is light and almost like a nitro pour feeling. Dangerously drinkable.
