Crazy Hair Day IPA

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a three finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and fruit hops, lemon, grapefruit, mild green onion and mild stone fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and fruit hops, grapefruit, lemon, melon, a touch of green onion, faint mixed light stone fruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I'm glad I got to tray a sampler of this one, because I usually don't buy hazies, but it had some good bitterness and I liked it better than their regular IPA. This is citrus forward, but has some classic NE style fruit character as well. The cryo hops give it a nice intense hop flavor, but not that herbal. I could easily get into hazy IPAs if they had this moderate, but quite satisfactory level of bitterness. I liked this quite a bit and was glad to have a crowler to keep sipping on it all evening.
