Tastes like home-brew. Good home-brew.

Nice bar on mainstreet. Service is alittle slow and not a great food selection. Black Talon R.I.S. is great and my wife really likes Das Dunkel.

Who would'a thunk it - a nice little, very industrious, brewery in the heart of old town Mesa.
Currently 14 beers on tap, all their own. Run the gamut from dunkels to super IPAs, with some unusual stuff in-between and some obvious Reinheitsgebot violators %^)
Ordered the specialty flight of 5, $10, get to pick your own beers. I chose the Das Dunkel, the Route 66 IPA, the Red Mountain Ale, the Gentlemen's Porter, and the Black Talon Russian Imperial Stout. 4 oz glasses in a nifty copper-colored steel carrier. Poured from tap.
Free Wi-Fi. Got here about 1630, crowd started to really pick up around 1645. Crowd is a mix of young and old. Some couples, some groups. All talkative and enthusiastic for the beer.
Kitchen doesn't open until 1700, so cool your heels. However, for the beer pro, there's popcorn and fresh water to cleanse the palate.
I found parking on the street right in front of the storefront, but I think there's parking in back as well. The street parking is 1 hour only until 1700, then no worries afterward.
