Using our Oatmeal Stout as a base, and sustainably-sourced locally roasted coffee from Cafe Kreyol, our Caramel Macchiato Stout has the rich aroma of flavored iced coffee. Vanilla extract and natural sugar combine with the roasted malts to lend a subtle caramel sweetness for a brew that is refreshing in the summer and decadent in the winter!

Appearance: On draft in Virginia. Dark brown with a miniscule amount of light on the edges. A full inch of dirty tan pillowy foam that didn't want to leave. Nice laces.
Aroma: Coffee, chocolate cake, light caramel, vanilla, malt.
Taste: Everything that was on the nose but with stronger caramel and vanilla. Cream.
Feel: Light carbonation, medium body. Sugary stickiness.
Overall: Solid. Sweet, but that was implied by the caramel in the name. Great balance and depth of flavors. The nose gave excellent foreshadowing to the tongue. Character changed accordingly with the temperature. Very impressive.

Pint glass pour from on tap at The Green Goat, Roanoke Va. A nice looking appearance. The one plus finger head was no problem to drink past with a full mustache. Great feel and taste, the lingering after taste was pleasant. Smooth and flavorful. Color was as dark as a loaf of pumpernickel bread, like a stout should be. Looking forward to another glass.

07/19/24. Poured into a 20 oz glass mug.
A: Very dark brown hue with one – two finger, beige foamy head with good retention and solid lacing.
S: Delicious aroma with coffee, vanilla, medium caramel, and light roast malt.
T: Flavor has similar elements of the aroma with medium caramel, coffee, and vanilla with a slight chemical overtone. Multi with a good mix of roast and dark malt character.
M: Fuel is somewhat thin with light – medium body, high carbonation, and relatively full finish.
O: This stout has a good balance of sweetness, roast, and coffee, but has a slight chemical tinge which downgrades it.

Pours a jet black with a finger and a half of foamy head that slowly settles to a thin cap with some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and vanilla. Taste follows nose.

Great aroma right off the bat, smells like a caramel macchiato for sure. Black body, beige head that dissipates. Smooth and creamy in taste, plenty of caramel and vanilla and good coffee notes. Plenty of roasted malts here as well, with a very smooth unbitter character with them. Feel is not thick or syrupy, and it's fairly sweet which is a plus for me. A very solid adjuncted stout.

!2 ounce bottle poured into a shaker pint glass.
L: Clear dark brown, ruby highlights, Khaki 1 inch head, foam is thick with moderate retention, leaves thin sheets of lace
S: Sweet chocolate, caramel, light coffee, white chocolate notes later.
T: Very sweet to open but dries quick for a lightly sweet roasty finish with medium bitterness, coffee and vanilla cream.
F: Medium body, creamy, just enough carbonation (after a straight in pour) to hint at but not reach a crisp feel.
O: Delicious but very sweet stout, one and done sipper for me.

No date on the bottle, so compared to the can shown above, does that mean that my beer is older? Aroma and taste include a good balance of each flavor listed on the bottle. The only negative about this beer is the moderately thin mouthfeel.

From a bottle, pours as an opaque black with loads of bubbling carbonation, yet weirdly, no head. Sweet caramel aromas. Malt-forward flavors with, again, caramel but also coffee. Overall, it is really smooth akin to an Oatmeal Stout but it's too sweet for my taste so -- for me -- it's a no-go.

This is one of my favorites recently. It's like dessert and beer all at the same time. Very nice caramel/candy flavors, but not too sweet. Still has a nice stout flavor too. Really nice drink.
