From the growler, it pours dark brown with a modest head. Coconut in the nose, along with malt. Coconut in the mouth as well as a bit of coffee. Yum!

The beer looks nice with a good chocolate black brown. The smell and taste are fantastic. While it has the usual notes from the Gold Cup, this beer actually has a nice and strong coconut note. The coconut so.etimes takes over but subsides enough to let the other notes come out. The feel is smooth but not as heavily carbonated. This beer is definitely one worth going g for.

Very sweet, but tons of coconut. Nice and creamy. This makes for a great dessert beer, but more than a couple ounces would be too much for me. Solid effort by OBH.

If you are a fan of coconut, you will be pleased with this beer. Nice smell and taste of coconut. Can't see drinking this all night, but good to finish it with

On tap a Westover Beer Garden. Poured in to a snifter.
A very smooth drinkable stout, but one that I have a hard time grading high on style. 3.75

T - The coconut is there but not overwhelming, some slight sweetness, a faint hint of spiciness and the high ABV is not evident. 4

On tap:
Pours quite dark (dark bar), looks black. Large head from the tap becomes a smattering of tan bubbles across the surface in time. The edges froth with some agitation, but otherwise form a thin ring providing minimal lacing.
Nose is roasted malt, leaning coffee, and a bit of nuttiness that doesn't seem of the "coco" variety to me. With some warmth hints of coconut become stronger, but play into the base beer more than taking it over.
Taste follows the nose quite closely, with an added amount of dark chocolate. The coconut is also a bit more pronounced in the nose than the taste. In the taste it seems to come almost hazel nutty rather than coconutty. Also a little artificial note at the point where the bitter takes over the malts.
Bold flavored, medium full feel, with an oily feel I taste, a bit drying/powdery in the end.
A fine brew, but I'm not getting much from the addition of the coconut.
