Deep golden in color with average head and awesome sticky lacing. Aroma is surprisingly malt forward. Taste has the hops but malt is a bigger player than I would have thought for a DIPA. Overall good but just a touch more hops and citrus would have taken this to the next level

Heavy malt bill, and I'm hoping that this was just a bad batch but old hops obviously used, leaving a waxy, metallic flavor and feel. Additionally this sat too long on yeast and the fatty flavor made this undrinkable. Drain pour

Poured on tap in a snifter, the beer is a bright, hazy, orange-gold coloring, with a thin, wispy, halo of white head. Aromas of roasted caramel, subtle citrus, and a bready backbone. Not much on the nose here. Flavors are piney forward, with a balance of bitter and sticky pitch, followed by subtle tropical and citrush fruit notes, and a bread backbone. Muted flavors. The body is slightly effervesced, slick, and crisp, with a sweet and slightly bitter, piney aftertaste. The finish is slick, crisp, and with a slight acidic edge. There just wasn't much to grab on to for me. Solid bitterness throughout, but ends up a bit lopsided with nothing to balance.
