Wander is brewing a series of beers with hops they're buying on the spot market, thus each will be different. Served in Nonic. Poured a lightly hazy orangey-gold with about 1/4 inch of white head that had moderate retention and good lacing.
The aroma featured a surprisingly solid grain scent at the front, with some citrus notes in the middle-back. On the tongue, the malts are very much in the background, and the hops are the star. Very citrusy with some light floral notes.
The body is just a touch more full than medium, just about where I like an IPA. Drinkability is good, I'll have more, but probably not 2 in a row. The citrus bitterness is a bit too much for for me, YMMV. Overall, a good, solid, crisp IPA that's worth trying if you see it.
