A full bodied winter ale with all the right characteristics. Malty, refreshing, and warming. Can't wait to see this around next winter.

Served in Nonic. Poured a lightly opaque dark brown, with a bit of reddish tint on the edges, and had 1/4 inch of khaki head with Moderate-low retention and decent lacing.
The aroma was mostly malty -sweet, with just a touch of yeast spiciness. There was a slight grape undertone, and no real hop presence. Pretty similar on the tongue, but exchange the grape for a hint of leather.
The body is full and smooth, without being heavy. Drinkability is great, the beer goes smoothly and easily, leaving you ready for another. Overall, a solid and very enjoyable example of the style. Worth trying when you see it.
