Attractive pale golden color with a pile of white foam in the tall Belle-Vue glass. Mouthfeel is really quite likeable, crisp and sudsy. There's a bitter bite at the finish, like maybe there are some hops-- or maybe it's the lemon rind. Not overly aromatic, but definitely basil in the nose.
The herbal flavor is just overly strong but it does fade a little on my jaded buds. If this is an American Adjunct Lager it needs an asterisk. It's really an herbed/spiced beer. I suppose it's a nice change from all the flavored pale wheat brews. From the 16 oz can.

Poured from a 16 oz. can into a JK snifter.
Appearance: Pale golden clear body. Thin cap of light soapy bubbles in top.
Aroma: Definitely getting that basil and lemon. Basil dominates the nose so I don't get much else.
Taste/Mouthfeel: It's all about the basil. Lemon follows through and cuts through the vegetal flavor. Super light body and of course basil being the herb that it is, it just lingers on and on.
Overall: A lovely looking beer, aroma is there and the taste is spot on. Not one I could drink a lot of, but this would for sure be one you would want to pair with pizza.

Served in nonic. Poured a lightly hazy hazt, with about a half-inch of white head that decent retention and no lacing. The basil and lemon were dominant, but a nice grain scent was underneath. At first the lemon and basil were nice, but, as I worked through the pint, they became just too much. The body was light, with a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was hurt by the accumulation of the basil. An interesting brew, but, if you see it, maybe start with a smaller pour as a test drive.
