A crystal clear straw yellow with a rapidly receding white head, this looks good. The nose is magnificent. Massive amounts of cheesy funk, green apple, sour grape, raw wheat. The palate opens tart with lactic acid, green apples, green grape, verjus, lemon, some cheese funk, a lovely, austere grainy wheat flavor, cracker like and snappy. Drying, lactic finish a little more acidic than ideal, but the funk adds a wonderful depth. Soft oak vanilla notes as well. Lovely.
