A carefully brewed American lager. With a stripped-down malt bill of pilsner malt and flaked barley, Wander Litely is light and dry with a slight graininess balanced by a whisper of floral and earthy hops.

Pint consumed at Wisconsinburger, near Spokane's Perry District, for $6.50 before tax.

Clear, golden amber color, with a decent sized off-white head that did not immediately disappear the way mass market lagers tend to behave. Nice lace.

In the nose, cereal grains and light, herbal hops, in that order.

Taste is as it smells. Lightly and sweetly malty, with a little bit of something resembling corn and a little herbal hop flavor. Crisp and clean finish.

Nice, well-made light lager. I wouldn't hit this regularly, as it's not really my style on the regular, but I had a hankering for something light and easy drinking, and this fits the bill admirably.

Lightly bodied,

Thin and creamy white head. Medium light gold/amber look. Subtle, medium toast caramelized hops, with a moderate level of spiced herbal hops, for the aroma. Very thin, crisp and mineral like, hop flavor, with a touch of light toast malt in the background.

Clear yellow gold in the chalice, with adequate white foam. Prickly mouthfeel, plenty of spritz. Pleasant cereal aroma. Tastes of corn and a little shredded wheat cereal. It's actually kind of a rich flavor for such a light beer-- surprisingly malty and not the sharp mineral buzz of so many light lagers. Just a kiss of hops. Everything is clean and quite gulpable. It's a good test of whether a brewery can do subtlety as well as wild. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Served in Milli Becher pint. poured a lightly cloudy pale yellow color, with 2/3 inch of white head that OK retention and lacing.

The aroma was the expected light grain and mellow hops of the style. Same on the tongue, a touch of mellow grian, a hint of floral hops.

The body was medium-light for the style, smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish. Drinkability was fine, but i wasn't left craving another. Overall, a perfectly fine change-of-pace brew. Probably worth a shot if you see it.
