A "Solstice Hefeweizen," hence the name. Pours a surprisingly clear amber with adequate foam in the Het Kapittel chalice. Light and bright with less of the German estery taste than most of this style. Fragrant with a touch of spice and just a whiff of banana, which is actually quite nice.
There's a scratchy, yeasty buzz of astringency in the aftertaste. Mellow but perky. Overall a very quaffable and lighter type of wheat beer. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Slightly murky dirty straw with loads of foamy white head that lasted about a minute before disappearing leaving behind no lacing. Aroma is a bread, banana, clove mix. Taste follows the nose with plenty of banana & clove. Smooth and easy going down. Nice an sessionable.

Served in 16oz Willi Becher. Poured a very cloudy pale yellow color, as expected, with less than an inch of white head that had moderate retention and light lacing.
The aroma was yeast forward, with the expected banana, and clove components, and also had a soft grain base.
Same on the tongue; a solid but soft grain base, and the typical Hefe flavors. There was a touch of hop bite on the very back end.
The body was also typical; light-medium, smooth, and had a semi-dry finish.
Drinkability was nice, a smooth and easy quaffer.
Overall, a pretty nice take on a style that hasn't been seen much around here the last few years. Worth a shot if you see it.
