Moderate levels of off-white head. Clear, auburn and chestnut appearance. Moderate levels of basic, slightly woody, medium toast malt and caramel, for the aroma. Subdued, and sort of watery, slightly woody, medium toast malt flavor.

Pours a clear, ruddy brown color. Three finger off-white head forms on the beer, lingers for a moment and then dissolves leaving no residual head. Aroma is wonderful - notes of dark malt, moderate nuttiness and some light cream and some earthy hoppy notes.

Taste is a bit more subdued that the aroma would imply. However that nutty maltiness comes through with notes of cocoa, tobacco, and some earthy hops. Feel is light, drinkable and smooth.

Overall its a straightforward, but impressively executed American brown ale.

Dark golden brown brew with decent foam in the Orval chalice. Warm and nutty, a touch of walnut. Grainy malt with a butterscotch note. Just slightly bitter in the aftertaste, like nut skins. Pleasantly spritzy and mouthfilling. Quite a dark edge after some sipping. From the 16 oz can purchased at Garden Path. Dated in March of 2022, presumably.

16oz can ( date a bit unreadable, xx/29/22. I think) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a clean, clear, very dark brown/light chestnut color with about 1/2 inch of tan head that had moderate retention with light lacing.

The aroma was the expected slightly sweet, solid malts, with some earthy and floral hops providing some contrast.

Very much the same on the tongue, with some light leather and tobacco aspects as well.

The body was smooth, even, and had a lightly sweet finish.

Drinkability was very good, certainly an easy quaff.

Overall, a really nicely done example of a style that most American breweries have seem to have left behind, in the name of "Hypebruh". Certainly worth your time if you see it.
