Lovely shade of dark yellow-amber with modest foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Some phenols in the aroma. Warm and rich flavors with the yeasty esters in the front. Sweet to start, then bitter, and finally a dry and almost puckery finish. Flavor is kind of harsh, but enough mellow malt to see you through to the next sip. And sipping is the only way to enjoy this stuff. Interesting but hot with alcohol. From the 16 oz can purchased at Skagit Valley Coop. Bottom stamp but no date.
