Pours clear red into a glass from a bottle. Offwhite head fades to a finger after a short moment; bubbles are small and frothy.
Aroma is sweet and filled with mild blood orange and red berries with just a hint of hops.
Flavour is very summery with red currants, raspberries and strawberries with the right amount of sweetness on the sip. The sweetness doesn't bowl you over, however, and balance is quickly restored as the other flavours rush in to add to the mix. On the draw, the palate is given a more balanced profile with a great amount of earthy berry, some blood orange, biscuity grain, red malts, fresh grass and moving to aromatic hops on the back end. The aftertaste is dominated by grain and more of those full berries.
Feel is light-medium bodied, smooth and lightly carbonated with a dry finish.
Really enjoying this red ale; it is very fresh, juicy and postively brimming with berries without going overboard; the balance is fantastic. Would recommend.
