This has to be one the most decadent stouts I have tried in many a long year. This will not suit every palate but is still an outstanding example of the style - perfect for old coots like me with poor nutrition...meal in a glass!
There is some sweetness from the milk sugars but it is balanced by a solid hop presence that seems to work very well in tandem.
Very dark (opaque), rich and fragrant, oils its way around the glass and beguiles the palate. Yum!
