From the growler, it pours a nice hazy light amber with a modest (for a wheat bier) white head that lasts awhile. Some banana, citrus and bread in the nose. The mouth gets a light appealing hefeweizen flavor with lemony highlights. Yum!

Draft at the Greene Turtle- Annapolis. Another wheat ale calling itself a hefeweizen, Rating this as a weizen, even though it’s not, hence the poor rating. Milky pale golden body, no head . Faint citrusy aroma. Some of the wheat comes through in the taste, and that’s about it. Thin body too, no aftertaste. Would be a good lawnmower Bert.

Can pour into tulip glass.
Generous creamy lasting head, and light yellow gold appearance. Nose and taste is grainy with mild banana background notes and an unexpected hop bitterness for the style.

Straw colored and cloudy. Pours a big creamy white head with good retention.

Slightly citrusy aroma - not a typical hefe nose. Should have read the fine print describing the additions before buying this one.

Almost a grapefruit juice like flavor, a bit fruity and sweet and very low hop. Light and refreshing

Light-medium body and medium-high carbonation. Mouthfeel seems right.

Seems like an American Wheat beer with fruit added. Not a true hefeweizen in the conventional sense. But not a bad beer on a very hot day.

12 oz can dated 1/14/2020.

Brewery notes say: "A german style hefeweizen that combines traditional notes of clove and banana with subtle citrus aromas and flavors to provide balance and complexity. With this hefeweizen, there’s no fruit required — we’ve got that covered."

The can says this is brewed with banana, orange zest, and orange juice. If you can't coax those flavors out of traditional weissbier ingredients then we're not off to a good start. No need to supplement with additives. The yeast should drive the beer to where it needs to be. But let's check out the actual beer and see what we've got here.

Straw colored, cloudy beer, with a frothy head that doesn't last as long as it should. Getting as much orange as banana in the aroma. It's different from your classic weissbier. Lots of citrus in the flavor. Much more of an American take on the style than a German one.

Light bodied. Very fruity but more from the additives than the yeast. Tastes more like a radler than anything else. A good hot weather refresher maybe, but likely not something I would reach for again.
