Pours an interesting light cola-ish brown, semi-transparent with a healty head.
Smell is mostly dank with hints of pine, caramel.
Taste follows the nose, has a bet of a metallic tinge on the front, otherwise malty
Pretty light-bodied. Goes down easy if you enjoy it.
Not one I'd write home about, or probably grab again.

Slightly cloudy copper pour with a nice white head, decently rocky. Lacing is fairly good as well. Smell is mostly caramel malt and toast, pretty simple aroma. Taste begins with a small amount of hop bitterness (on the very low side for this style), then an immediate blast of toast and caramel. Fades into lightly roasted coffee, a hint of dark chocolate, a bit of unpleasant metallic element (a constant issue with this style), and even barely perceptible alcohol taste. Feel is satisfying when drank, but leaves a syrupy, sticky feeling in the mouth.
Overall it's a fine ale. The superficial qualities are there, but the taste and aroma leave a lot to be desired. Amber Ale, in my opinion, is not a style that does well without significant and unique hop character. Hopback is a good example of how hops add to an Amber. The metallic presence and weird stickiness that seem to afflict every amber that isn't hopped well really puts me off from ever buying this again.

Clear amber red with a thin tan head. Rings of lacing.
Very weak aroma. In a bar in a shaker pint, I'm not really smelling anything.
Caramel malts, bread, a little cherry and very light grassy bitterness. More sweet than anything, but not over the top. Fairly crisp finish.
Medium bodied with decent carbonation.
Perfectly drinkable. Almost comes off as a macro Vienna Lager or something. It's fine.

Poured a cloudy copper red body with good head and lace. Decent citric hop and malt aroma. Taste is the same: basic, non-descript, but a decent citric hoppiness and malt base with a dry, crisp finish.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours semi cloudy orange yellow with a fluffy off white head. Smells of caramel malts and slight grassy hops. Tastes of sweet caramel malt with some grassy hops. Beer is light bodied and easily drinkable, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.
