Pours cloudy orange good color with a 2 finger foamy thick off white head that faded very slowly and left good spotty lacing. Smells of orange peel, piney notes, light peppery spices, grapefruit, tea leaf, dry biscuits, grassy accents and toasted grains. Nice balance, not super hoppy.
Tastes like toasted grains, caramel, light peppery spices, grapefruit, tangerine, dry biscuits, herbs, orange peel, tea leaf, mint and fresh cut grass. No real hop bite and the bitteness barely shows through, but it was balanced and a decent overall basic IPA.

I am CANtinuing to winnow away at my backlog, especially of CANs, here at Chez Woody. The CANQuest (tm) is eternally grateful to my local, in-person trader, @tone77 for dropping off so many new & different CANs, including this one!
From the CAN: "India Pale Ale".
Okay, then. I beCAN by Crack!ing open the vent & beginning a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. I was heartened by its immediate creation of two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with great retention, leaving wonderful lacing as it slowly fell. Color was a solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a pronounced orange/tangerine/mandarin orange quality. Hmm & Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was mostly bitter, very orange-y with a hint of caramel. Mmm. My late-maternal grandmother used to get bags of Brach's Caramels & the orange-crème filled ones were among my faves. This was very evocative of them. Finish was dry, mostly bitter & citrusy, very enjoyable. YMMV.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Poured orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of citrus and earthy hops. Tastes of citrus hops with decent grain. Beer is light/medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Probably will not buy this one again. Pours a hazy golden amber with a head that leaves some lacing on the glass. Smell is kind of bready with some hops, and the taste is bitter with no real citrus or floral tones.

Fresh from a can into a proper beer glass. Looks like decent carbonation with a good head and lacing. Tastes very light and smooth for a 6.5 ABV beer, not nearly as sharp as most IPAs. An East Coast version worth buying again.
