Got in a BIF from oline73. 12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 7/29/2016. Pours slightly hazy medium orange/amber/light copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange, grapefruit, black tea, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, and toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of lemon/tea, citrus/earthy hops, and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, grapefruit, black tea, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, and toasted earthiness. Light herbal/floral/grassy bitterness and slight lemon tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, black tea, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of lemon/tea, citrus/earthy hops, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.1%. Overall this is a very nice fruit/spiced amber ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of lemon/tea, citrus/earthy hops, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink. Very classic tasting base amber ale, without overdoing the lemon/tea flavors. A very enjoyable offering.
