It may only be 5.3% ABV, but Goldie Hon has prodigious flavor! Our blonde ale is unapologetically hoppy, yet somehow retains drinkability. Goldie Hon teems with immense aromatic blasts of peach and nectarine while an underpinning perfume of blueberry lurks in the background, exuding supreme elegance in its restraint. Palate sensations of tropical fruit run rampant from plentiful additions of Citra and Motueka hops, coupled with a yeast blend meant to maximize ester production, coalescing into a poignant synergy of flavor. This is one delicious beer!

Had on tap. Well the body is golden with some clear bubbles on top, so good job there. Overly hopped for a blonde, but not that bitter, more fruity if anything, citrus mostly detected in smell. Taste brings in a ton of biscuit blonde malt and a little more bitterness, but still one dimensional. Feel is very light, bright, and generally basic. It's not bad, but it isn't going to get your juices flowing

This starts with an enormous head, that fades to a solid cap and pretty lace. Nose is hoppier than expected with the standard biscuit note along for the ride.
Citrus and a little tropical fruit make this more interwesting than most American blondes. A little too much carbonation initially but it smothes out. For me, a better than average blonde ale.

11-18-2023 update: Pours a hazy light yellow color. Nice head retention, some lacing. Aroma and flavor feature light crackery malt with citrusy/mildly bitter hops. Some minerality and astringency that detract from the overall profile. Decent for a light-ish beer, but not something I'd seek out again.
