Special Lady Friend is very special indeed, an all Mosaic hazy IPA which results from the culmination of experience gained through the last year or so of thoughtful experimentation with varied yeasts, hops, and procedural techniques. Originating from a sturdy base of 2-row, white wheat, and flaked oats, Special Lady Friend boasts a purified expression of Mosaic, given that Mosaic lupulin constitutes 50% of the dry hop by weight. Overripe pineapple, candied orange, and the fresh essence of blueberry dominate the nose, while the palate experience melds into a pithy melange of tropical fruit, ultimately resulting in a dry, yet soft, elegant finish. Cheers!

Having this one on tap, Nice head, with some lasting body that laces the glass well as it goes down . Fragrant Mosaic hop & pine, some pineapple and tropical notes as well.
Well flavored, somewhat complex, full bodied with a smooth finish.

Hazy, gold body under an average size white head and light lacing. Pineapple dominates the aroma while some sweet berries contribute. Sweetness does not carry over to the flavor but the pineapple does. Bitterness is minimal. Smooth, dry aftertaste. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel.

On tap at PB Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville, MD.
This one pours a reasonably hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty great – with candied blueberry, pineapple, honey, orange, and grassy hops.
This tastes quite nice. It’s a very good expression of Mosaic hops – sometimes they get too sweet into like a blueberry syrup thing. The blueberry is there, but dry, with a juicy pineapple, tangerine, and orange citrusy hop character along with that signature Mosaic berry. There’s a touch of grassy/floral hop bitterness, as well.
I was easily able to have multiple of these at a wedding – they were super refreshing and really drinkable. It didn’t really have any off flavors that are often in NE-style IPAs.
This was very much a pleasant surprise – it’s an IPA that stood out in a world where the style hardly can ever stand out anymore.

Lightly hazy bright yellow, pearl white finger of foam, lacing. Lemon, pineapple, mango, and significant grapefruit with moderate piney hops in the nose. Taste is a clone only pineapple takes over the lead from grapefruit, hops are the finisher but in a light fashion. Body is slightly thin, bright and decently crisp, just want a touch more of hop bitters to round out. Nice ipa for the porch

Small sample at Salisbury MD Good Beer Festival. Billed as a NEIPA. Pours a slightly hazy light amber with almost no head. Initial impression is fairly juicy grapefruit, assisted by mango, a touch of pine, and a good dose of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium - it could be a little more pillow-y and have some more heft to it. Finish is soft and sweet. Good but not great.

Best hazy ipa I have had in a long time. Super smooth and juicy. Had on draft at Trucksteraunt in Baltimore MD. Pours hazy, with good color. Would definitely get again.
