When given the opportunity to make lagers that fall outside of the craft beer zeitgeist, we often take the chance! It’s the New Style is a blend of two distinct traditional lagers, Doppelbock and Baltic Porter, respectively. The Baltic Porter portion of the resultant blend was aged for six months in bourbon barrels before its marriage with the Doppelbock thread; what results is surely an unequivocal love letter to all things malt-driven. Pumperknickel toast rides high through the aroma while the palate displays a spectrum of all-encompassing malt prowess, showcasing a compelling blend of freshly baking bread, hints of English toffee, Whoppers candies, and bits of bittersweet dark chocolate. This is truly a malt-lovers delight!
