Bia Sot was born out of inspiration for the superb drinkability of Laotian rice lagers. However, instead of adhering to the pale adjunct lager paradigm that dominates much of the world, we went somewhere between German Helles and Schwarzbier in terms of color and malt intensity. Bia Sot pours a gorgeous chestnut brown, exhibiting sensations of toast and malted milk balls underpinned by a pleasing dryness courtesy of copious jasmine rice additions.

16 oz can poured into a snifter. Pours a medium brown with a nice off-white head. Aroma and flavor feature caramel and biscuit malt with some coffee and milk chocolate. More Euro dark lager than schwarzbier - not too much much roast. Mouthfeel is slightly watery and moderately carbonation. A decent beer but probably not something I'd buy again.
