Doubles is a contemporary double IPA utilizing a grist comprising 2-row, wheat, and oats, with the hopping regimen changing with each iteration. For our inaugural batch, we decided upon a blend of Mosaic, Ekuanot, and Cashmere Cryo, with the latter two hops carrying the majority of flavor; think green tropical fruit like starfruit or kiwi, with the blueberry/citric medley of Mosaic underpinning the entire palate experience. Regardless of the particular hop combination of subsequent iterations, Doubles will remain soft yet luxurious, and provide bombastic, fruit-forward hop character.

12 ounce can in a standard pint glass.
Hazed yet bright yellow orange color. Fluffy white cap, about 2F, sufficient lacing.
Mild hop aroma. Mostly oats, wheat, and a touch of sweetness.
Melon, blueberry, and mint hop flavors.
Medium bodied, smooth. Well concealed 8% abv, not too sweet, juicy, or booze like.
Hazy yes, juicy not so much. Hop flavors shine. Thanks for the 12 ounce can!

This is a fantastic DIPA. Heavy tropical fruit on the nose, mild carbonation, just hoppy enough, at 8% the heat is somewhat hidden, and there is a hint of sweetness.
