draught
A coffee porter.
Dark brown with a little chestnut, for edge of glass highlights. It doesn't look thick, but there is no light transmission. Big coffee flavor, with a decent dose of dark roasted grains to blend in the aroma. A light dark roasted grain and a bit of coffee, during the taste. A basic, quick finish.

New brewery thanks to Pinz412 in an Lif associated with Bif12

16oz can poured into a snifter

One finger fluffy taupe foam cap, good retention , some lacings , settles to a sparse island over a dark cola like liquid

This coffee porter smells like coffee. Fresh coffee beans, yup coffee

Taste is coffee, roast malts, taste

Thin mouthfeel , low sudsing , gentle coffee astringency , semi dry finish

Good beer

This one pours a fairly dark brownish black, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like bright but classic diner-type coffee, with vanilla, and chocolate.

This is definitely a touch thinly tasting, but the coffee is done fairly well here - roasty, chocolatey, and aromatic. In a good way, it reminds me of diner coffee. There's a touch of vanilla creaminess, and some chocolate creaminess on the back end.

It's definitely thin, but extremely drinkable, with a slight creaminess on the back end.

This isn't anything completely wild, but it was definitely enjoyable.

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had a rich robust coffee aroma. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with coffee flare. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

I cant put my finger on it, it is coffee and beer but something is missing. If this was a low alcohol beer like the one that Pizza boy did i would understand.

Received as an extra in a trade and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a thin off white head that fades to leave light wisps and a thin blanket.

S - Aromas of nice bright fresh coffee, bright and black with some roasted malts. The finish is really weird, almost cardboard and garbage like.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with decent coffee grinds and some lightly roasted malts. More of that cardboard.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, super watery.

O - Overall this was an incredibly disappointing beer. Just horrible.

Thanks to rudzud
Pours a large foamy bubbly creamy 1 finger head that retains well, long thick legs and soapy lacing, pitch black beer

Nose wtf! Starts with fresh roasted earthy nutty coffee, but then quickly poopy diaper garbage thing, really bad shit smell, raw coffee beans, cocoa notes, earthy spicy etc

Taste is a bit better but not much, coffee water, thin watery with bitter roast, earthy coffee roast and bitter tannic roast, little char and burnt malt, nutty too, a bit of earthy roast, bitter roast watery dry finish

Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent carb but thin

Overall bleh

16 oz can

Pours opaque dark brown. Looks black but has some translucent brown when held to light. Head retains indefinitely as a film and is light tan in color.

Smells of fresh roasted coffee, biscuit, toasted bread and a hint of oak.

Flavor is of caramel, toast, coffee and mesquite.

Medium to full body with tingly carbonation on the tongue.

Pretty good porter, good flavor and body. The coffee flavor is fresh and not overly acidic. Lots to like here, very much worth trying.
