What a marvelous Nelson showcase. Light, fluffy, with abundant zesty fruits notes running the gamut from grape to pineapple to lime. Wonderfully easy drinking

16oz can purchased off the shelf as a single for $4.99. Canned on 11/08/23, so this is just over four months old.
Look: It's very hazy with medium orange and yellow-orange colors. The head was thick upon pouring, but subsided to a thinner layer with nice lacing.
Smell: I'm a big fan of the Nelson Sauvin aromas. I'm getting gooseberry, pineapple, some dank notes, and green bell pepper on the finish after swirling. The nose is not so complex, but it is pleasant.
Taste: It's quite tasty. Up front, it has a nice amount of juiciness and the finish has very low bitterness. The flavors mirror the nose with the gooseberry, white grape, and pineapple flavors. You do get some of those green notes on the finish, which isn't a bad thing at all. It gives it a nice contrast and bite instead of the more common bitterness. It's not chalky, which is saying something for a four-month old NEIPA.
Feel: It has a very soft, creamy mouthfeel. It's nicely carbonated.
Overall: This is my first Hitchhiker beer. I've seen their stuff around here from time to time, but I usually didn't see their beers offered as singles. When I saw this IPA w/ Nelson Sauvin available as a single on the shelf, I had to buy it even if it was already a few months old. I'm a huge fan of Nelson Sauvin. I was worried that this was going to be chalky and past its prime, especially since I bought it off the shelf. However, it has held up surprisingly well for a NEIPA, so that's a huge plus. It's very tasty and highly drinkable yet still has a nice amount of complexity and uniqueness.

Opaque tan to maize with a tall white head settling to a lumpy froth leaving bubbly sponge on the glass.
Oh that delicious, delicious nelson is wonderfully peppery, crackery and quaffable as fuck through an ultra fluffy body, backed by Orange Julius and hints of pineapple.
The rounded medium body comes to a pleasantly semi-dry finish.

looks a tad thin/pale in hue. more strawberry blonde than the prototypical OJ cloud NEIPA. smells pretty lush, but has a mild almost-metallic sweet tinge. tastes good and Nelson-y, some mild yeast character. the feel is pretty much ideal for a haze parade; chewy, full body with a slight hop salivation that segues nicely into a prominent carb fizz- nailed that. overall tasty- would buy again.
