$4.25 @ Wegmans, King of Prussia, PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is a hazy IPA with Mosaic, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin, and Idaho 7 at 6% alcohol by volume. It's poured a very hazy light gold body beneath a thumb's width of densely foamy white. The taste delivers a fairly light malt component that has to be 2-row barley as it doesn't taste like Pilsner malt, and probably some oats. As for wheat I'm not sure, I don't clearly taste it, but I wouldn't doubt that it's in there. I clearly get the gooseberry from the Nelson Sauvin which is interesting as that's not a very strong flavor and I didn't think it would be able to compete with the berries from the Mosaic but, honestly, there's really not much of that at all. I'm also getting passionfruit and a little bit of tangerine, mango, apricot, and papaya. On the non-fruit side there's some dusty earthiness and a suggestion of pine. It's sweetish but not sweet, and fairly dry in the finish even with a limited bitterness. I could probably drink at least four of these in a row on a hot day. In the mouth it's medium-light in body but with the impression of a greater fullness because of all the extra proteins. The carbonation is on the lower side and it's quite smooth. I wish there were more hops to it but at the same time I love the lighter-style maltiness and I think that more malt might throw off the beautiful balance and refreshing quality that it has. I also need to remind myself that just because a beer lists a variety of hops, in this case four of them, that doesn't mean that it's going to be super hoppy.

Almost fully opaque maize with an off-white foam head of moderate height that bubbles down to a fuzzy collar and central lily pad film fairly quickly.
A lightly pungent and spicy dankness meets sweet nectarine and clementine accented by hints of Sweet Tarts.
The body is light but has a firm supporting carbonation that comes to a tingly and numbing semi-dry finish.
While my high expectations wanted to like this more (well earned expectations, Hitchhiker, as they were, but also BECAUSE NELSON), it's still quite tasty.
