My first pour at Hitchhiker brewing itself was this brew and wow did this knock it out of the park. This smells and tastes more like a morning coffee first, porter second. The dominance of the coffee right up front, turns to allow the malty base underneath rise upward, all the while a sweet nuttiness permeates throughout. There is that slight, tiny bit of tart coffee acidity that fades quickly amongst the din of roasted substances leaving you with a dinstinct impression of a stout/porter soaked brownie with hazelnut and a dark roast black coffee on a Saturday morning. Very well done from Hitchhiker.
