Worst beer I have ever tasted including all natty light, old Milwaukee, etc. I pray to God that the cans I got were not what defiance intended. From the instant I started pouring, i knew it didn't look right. Very brown for a dipa. Fool me once, shame on me and I will never purchase defiance again. Waste of money

Pours a dark amber color with a one finger white head that disappates quickly. Aroma is citrus, earth, grass, pine, and fruit rind/pit like. Taste follows with a big whallop of earth and grass, followed by a light pine and citrus backdrop. Mouthfeel is medium and oily. Overall, this is a decent dipa from an up and coming Kansas brewery.

This deserves qualification for the rating. Generally Defiance puts out quality beers. At some point during the brewing or canning process the beer was affected negatively. It poured with minimal carbonation that quickly dissipated. The appearance looked like muddy water with a plum color. The taste was of old hops.
