Pours black with half a finger of khaki foam that forms quickly and disappears just as quickly. A few strands of lacing left behind. Aroma is toasted coconut right on the nose. It comes off a touch artificial. Roasted and toasted malts show up, but are slim compared with the coconut. Flavor profile is coconut, in all caps. Toasted coconut to be more precise. Coconut comes off a bit artificial, which keeps the beer from being very smooth. Roasted malts form a hearty background. Malts add a layer of milk chocolate to add some smoothness. Mouth feel is velvety and smooth, with medium-thick thickness. Overall, coconut is absolutely huge, but should be expected from the label. Aroma is okay due to the artificial tones, but the flavor profile smooths it out a bit.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 22oz bottle.

 

On tap at the Kansas Craft Beer Expo 2018. Comes black with an average tan head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, coffee, and coconut. Taste is similar. Nice, but missing something.
