a flavorful wit type here, slightly richer and more malty than many, more structure too, almost has belgian tripel elements, that sort of candy sugar thing, but the wheat really pops in this too, fresher than it really ever seems to stand out in this style, and mineral forward and clean. the yeast does the majority of the flavoring, not even sure there is coriander or citrus in this, its all esters to me but ever phenolic, i get pink bubblegum, lemongrass, more hops than most of these have, white pepper and anise, and even licorice, its got some real depth. its still refreshing, but its also a little more hearty and sturdy, which is not out of place even in the heat of summer, and i like the herbal bitterness the hops bring, not common in the style but its their own little twist and its fully compatible here. lightly nutty as it warms, white wine and sherry esters, green pear too, and maybe some dried apricot. its layered and complex, spicy and deep, and really well refined. great carbonation, off dry to finish, appreciably low alcohol, and really dynamic. these guys remain super under the radar but make some of the best beers in the region...
