650ml red waxed bottle poured into tulip 10/12/16
a clear amber liquid, looks thick, only a couple bubbles slowly making their way up, no head or lace but some wide legs trying to for, shes a big one
S lots of hard toffee, vanilla, candied orange, some rye barrel but not overwhelming, shes pretty boozy, faint hazelnut, has a Triple Sec thing in the background but it works
T more spicy rye notes in the mouth, the barrel notes are much stronger then the nose, still has some fruit and toffee and a heavy hit of booze
M thick, low carbonation but enough to give it some life, almost numbing, sticky on the lips and some heat holding it back
O pretty solid for such a big, young, BW, needs age for sure and I could see this doing well with a few years on it
I like the barrel choice and after the booze mellows this could be something great. 20$ a bomber isn't cheap but I might grab another to sit on for a few years, worth a crack for sure.
