A quickly disappearing dense foamy head on a not too bad but not too exciting either transparent pale golden color. The smell is grainy but not too much, and reveals interesting aromas of caramel and hints of fruit liquor. The taste is classic and a bit boring pilsener. Grainy, dry finish, with a non excessively thick hoppiness. some nice citric notes and hints of pine or honey. The most interesting thing is the fruity caramel noticeable in the smell that persists in the taste and even more in the aftertaste. Other than that, I'm a bit disappointed. This beer isn't bad, it's even quite good, but after two other ginga kogen beers that I foun very interesting, this one is closer to average imo.

Snow white head, which quickly flees. Pale yellow body.

Deep malty aroma.

Richness of malty flavor seldom seen in German pilsners. Pleasantly mild long lasting piney bitterness.

This is now my favorite japanese canned lager. This issue is from one of the largest craft brewers in Japan.

The DOITSU Classic comes in a non-shiny gold can with a broad blue emblem on its face. Many Japanese beer companies produce a "classic" beer, so this must be an appealing sort of name.

It possesses a moderately fast dissolving medium size bubble head and smells not unlike Ginga Kogen's White or Weizen, with their citrusy flavor.

It's refreshingly easy to drink and seems to warm the stomach with it's rich honey malts. It makes you want to take large, LONG swigs of the stuff. Very tasty.
