This place is basically dead. It was a brewery once upon a time but now it's a bunch of kicked tap handles, disgruntled employees, and mediocre food. Wish it was better, but my experience here was pretty awful.

Great staff, really nice open space, friendly atmosphere, solid selection of guest taps, and really getting their beers together. And obviously the food speaks for itself if you've ever been to their other locations. The Margherita pizza is amazing! El Cajon needs this place, and I have no doubt that as they work out the kinks, they'll be killing it in no time. Keep up the good work guys!!!
Also, who ever was in charge of hiring the staff - nice work my friend! You really have the proper people in place to make this the most successful craft beer venture East County has ever seen.
Cheers!

Really smooth with great pepper notes and goes down really easy for a 6.2%.

A lot was changed inside from the former, infamous El Cajon Brewing Co. The bar is the same, but some walls were removed and others added.
My wife and I had lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Nice crowd. Most of the bar area was filled. Several of the non-bar area tables were occupied.
The atmosphere is not quite as "soccer mom" as the Vista location and nowhere near as "urban hipster" as the North Park location, granted it was Saturday afternoon. For us, this is the happy medium.
The pizza is the same as the other two URBN locations. Large, Neopolitian style pizzas. There are about a dozen choices, or you can build your own from several toppings. Medium pizzas are a little under $20 and large are about $30. We each built our own mediums and ate about half. Plenty left over for lunch the next day. The crust is a little chewy with a nice crunch around the edge. This is one of our favorite pizza places in San Diego.
They had six house beers and about 30 guest beers on tap. A solid selection. I had tasters of five of the house beers and all were at least "not bad."
