Caterpillar pours a lighter, modestly cloudy yellow than expected from a golden sour ale that has spent nearly a year in red wine barrels. Aggressively tart, with a unique character from the local microcritters that is tough to describe and distinct from other wild ales. Patient, repeated sips are rewarded with good complexity and a balance between vaguely fruity sweetness, acetic vinegar, and grainy cracker.

A wild ale aged in french oak red wine barrels for 11 months. Fantastic complexity on the nose and palate, tartness is a bit subdued, look forward to a fruit addition
