On tap:
Little more dirty than expected, a pale, dull golden with a high haze. Head is creamy and produces some nice lacing.
Nose is also a tad “dirty” - or maybe more dusty. It’s not quite a farmhouse smell but loosely similar. Some fruit aromas - grape, clementine - also come through with a light grape leave bitterness.
That fruit note comes out early in the taste, too, but luckily isn’t too powerful. A more classic lager peeks out early, with a dry biscuit malt and lightly floral and peppery hop notes. Little below average pinch to the carbonation, the ending is nicely dry.
The sweeter fruit aspects nose almost throws this beer off for me. It’s enough of a distraction, but the flavors are decent and get better with some warmth.
